Ingredients
Chicken:
- eggs (2)
- cornstarch (4 tbsp)
- salt and pepper
- chicken thighs (skinless, 1 kg)
- olive oil (4 tbsp)
Sauce:
- soy sauce (10 tbsp)
- water (4 tbsp)
- sesame oil (2 tbsp)
- brown sugar (6 tbsp)
- rice vinegar (2 tbsp)
- ginger (2 tbsp)
- garlic (4 cloves)
- sesame seeds (2 tbsp)
- cornstarch (1 tbsp)
Serving:
- rice, vegetables
- green onions (4)
Steps
- Prepare the sauce. Start by grating the ginger (2 tbsp) and mincing the garlic (4 cloves). Then mix all of it togheter with the soy sauce (10 tbsp), water (4 tbsp), sesame oil (2 tbsp), brown sugar (6 tbsp), rice vinegar (2 tbsp), sesame seeds (2 tbsp) and cornstarch (1 tbsp)
- Whisk the eggs (2) with the cornstarch (4 tbsp), adding some salt and pepper.
- Cut the chicken thighs into small pieces (1 inch), then toss the pieces in the eggs and cornstarch mixture
- Heat the olive oil (4 tbsp) in a large skillet and add the coated chicken into a single layer
- Cook the chicken until golden brown, stirring carefully to avoid breaking the egg coating
- Pour the sauce over top and toss the chicken in it. Continue to cook and stir the chicken until the sauce thickens
- Sprinkle the cut green onions (4) over the chicken and serve it with rice and vegetables
